Workshop Description
The Homeowner Leader Workshop teaches you how to become a more successful board member and gives you the basics that you need to govern your community more effectively and efficiently.
The workshop covers the following topics:
- Governing Documents and Roles & Responsibilities
- Communications, Meetings, and Volunteerism
- Fundamentals of Financial Management
- Professional Advisors and Service Providers
- Association Rules and Conflict Resolution
A workshop toolbox (not required but recommended for workshop) is a great resource and can be purchased at the time of registration for $40 with pick-up at the workshop.
The Toolbox includes:
- The Board Member Toolkit, a best-selling book from CAI Press
- The Board Member Toolkit Workbook
- Brochures and publications, such as The Homeowner & The Community Association
- A copy of CAI’s award-winning Common Ground™ magazine
